drawing a pumpkin

A2 paper, graphic pencils

I think this size is huge for me. It takes forever to fill the shades... Well it didn't take forever, only 1.5 hours. I used 2 pencils at the same time to make it faster, and I like the result.

Creativity doesn't wait for that perfect moment. Open the fridge, get any food, and paint.

Sketching in drawing class, that's so exciting activity and a great possibility to start thinking in a different way.

i wish i could draw

I'm trying to draw again. The result is not important, the object is not important, the process is important. I like to feel the facets of pencil and roughness of paper, to choose the colors and apply them on a paper. It is the same as meditation.

Have a great summer!

my sunday in pics

It is 3rd week I started with a drawing. I've never draw after secondary school. Now about 18 years later  I enjoy the drawing so much :) My friend, who is artist, said me: "If you want to learn drawing, just take a pencil and draw everything you see around you. You must draw everyday!"
So I will post my pictures from time to time in my blog. Here are the strawberries from our garden:

These berries are perfect as is or with a cream. Also we made a strawberry jam:

Here is my lovely cat, he is so lazy and sleepy:

Happy sunday!

my own journals and a pic

This is my craft journal, I started it a couple months ago. Here I glue on the inspirational pictures and sketch some future projects, that I plan to do. Also I have another journal for the custom orders, here I mark my customers, projects, deadlines, needed materials etc:

I'm continuing a drawing with my aquarelle pencils, this is a peony from our garden:

Have a great weekend!

my new pencils!

I bought watercolour pencils, they are so great! The pencils have beautiful and bright colors, make soft lines and perfectly paint with water. I'm so excited! I painted this blooming jasmine with a glass of water:

Oh, I know that jasmine blooms are white, not yellow. Unfortunately I used too much of the yellow pencil.  My only excuse that I'm not an artist, just love to draw pictures sometimes :)
Happy weekend!

Inspiration: how to keep journals

What do you know about the journals? I'm sure that anyone has at least one journal, for example it is a planner or scheduler for everyday use, isn't it? I know some people who keep the diaries. Also sketchbooks, artbooks and scrapbooks are really great way to record life's experiences, feelings, emotional reactions or one's own inner voice.

I did a little list of some journals, that give me a lot of inspiration and share them here. All pictures are clickable and link to the source. Start with the planners, look at this pretty weekly planner:

 The family budget journal:

If you think that you can't draw, that is false! Everyone can draw! Just take the pencil and paper and start drawing all the things you see around you:

The Elvie Studio blog is very helpful to starting with drawing and feeling you are an artist:

Who hasn't any journal, they are drawing in the books:

The doodling journal:

Doodling with colors:

Also it is possible to glue in some pockets, envelopes, stickers, labels..

..and make some journal arts:

You can do with a journal everything your heart desires: to glue on your favorite pictures and photos, draw, paint, doodle, tweet, write all important and unimportant things, to travel and make sketches, collect your favorite recipes and even sketching the ingridients or just keep a journal in complete secrecy under your pillow :)

I have 3 journals: family budget journal, sold and custom orders journal and inspiration journal. Some days ago I started with 4th journal and try to draw with my new watercolour pencils. My mom keeps 2 journals: a garden journal and our house repairs journal. One day I will share some pages of our journals.

Do you have any journals too?
