healthy and tasty granola recipe

Homemade granola is so easy to make yourself, and it tastes so much better than store bought. I prefer making my own granola so that I can control exactly how it tastes. I love lots of nuts and seeds, and I use honey instead of sugar.

Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats (not steel cut or quick cooking)
2 cups raw nuts, chopped (eg. almonds, pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts)
1 cup raw seeds (sunflower and pumpkin seeds are great)
1 tbsp your favorite spice (eg. cinnamon, pumpkin spice, gingerbread mix)
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup melted butter or coconut oil

Preheat the oven 140C/280F. Line a large baking tray with baking paper. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Spread on baking tray and bake until golden, approximately 30-40 minutes, stir every 10 minutes. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container or a jar for up to 2 weeks.

We eat our granola on Greek yogurt, with milk like cereal, and just plain for a quick snack.

mother's day

The meringue cake with butter cream on the picture. I did 2 meringue bisquits using 3 egg whites and 150 g (5.29 oz) sugar. Put a bakery paper on the pan, bake in oven with 110 °C or 230 °F. When bisquits were ready and cooled, then I spread a butter cream between the bisquits, put them together and spread the top with the cream too. Then sprinkle with walnuts.
Happy Mother's Day to all my readers and guests!

printable recipe cards

These are my best recipes :) They look ugly, I know. One day I tried to write them over to a notebook. But using the notebook is not convenient for me in a kitchen. So I searched the Google and downloaded these cute recipe cards:

I love them very much. It's easy to put the card on a refrigerator's door with a small magnet and prepare some tasty dish.
