gifts

I had some gift certificates from 8beads.com and exchanged them to beautiful tiny czech charlottes and this amazing big serpentine cabochone with olivine green faceted beads.

Also I've got beading needles and a rounder, now I can make sterling silver ear wires and polish the ends, that they are not sharp.

Happy New 2011 Year!

Victorian Earrings for Mom

beadwoven victorian earringsWhen I get a package with ordered glass beads from Helmetuba, there was a little surprise - two lovely connectors in antique gold. My mom liked them very much. So I have executed her wish and beadweaved these earrings. Used czech faceted glass beads, Toho seed beads and vermeil gold earwires.

crocheted doilies as coasters

crocheted doilies by Lariata Some of little doilies look like lacy pancakes :) I have crocheted them using white 100% cotton yarn. Pattern is available for free on my favorite web: MyPicot.com. I have modified last two rows a little bit. So this doily measures about 13 cm (5").

crocheted coaster by Lariata The crocheted doily can be used as a coaster or a jam-jar cover. It's pretty, isn't it?

crocheted doily by Lariata This one measures 10 cm (about 4"), used the same 100% cotton yarn. I think that coasters can be multi-colored, so joyfully change the look on any kitchen.

natural linen table runner with crocheted flowers and lace

natural linen table runner with crocheted flowers and lace
Do you remember I have won "Unloved" handmade journal? This journal is so very cute! So I decided to send the little "thank you gift" to Renate (Kreativlink). She was very surprised! :D (read about the surprise in her blog). Renate has scolded me a little, but I consider that gifts are similar so nobody should bear a grudge :)

Secret Santa, 2

It was happened at last year, in 2009 December. I am a proud member of THE EUROPEAN STREET TEAM on Etsy and we had playing a funny game "Secret Santa". The idea behind the Secret Santa is that you make something for a teammember and also receive a gift yourself.

It was a difficult test to make a Christmas gift to the person with whom you are not familiar. Nicole have a great shop on Etsy with handmade soaps - UltimateOrganicSoap. In Nicole's questionnaire I got know that she very much likes to read. So I have decided to present bookmarks to her. I was very much worried, whether my gift will be pleasant to her. And here a response Nicole in her blog.

Much appreication to Mitsy ArtMind - her good job done with the Secret Santa :)

That's finished gift for my dear sister to a special day in her life :) She likes this necklace very much, so I'm happy :D
Some details: peyote leaves made of transparent 11/o Toho seed beads. I was afraid that I can't bead with size like 15/o or smaller. St.Petersburg chain is also beaded. Embellished with golden butterfly (approx. 3 cm), she's flying :)

This pretty tree is made of silver plated wire and rose quartz by Taniri. I like how she is able to use a wire and semiprecious stones. Many thanks to Taniri - I love your gift :)
