It's a carnelian stone with a twisted wire around. Looks like catched caramel. This semiprecious stone have the beautiful shades from light yellow to dark brown. So honey and sweet.

I made this bracelet for a custom order. I can repeat this work, but your bracelet may vary slightly in the shades, because stones can not be identical in nature ever, but still promises to be stunning.

Many thanks to Margit K. :) She has given me a reference to fantastic source: Ravelry.com. It's an ideal place for those who likes to knit or crochet. What there is remarkable? When I something knit, necessarily I do calculations, sketches, I write down the name and a thickness of a yarn, colour number (on a case if the yarn will not suffice), the name of schemes and sources. In the course of work any cunnings are born, which should be written down to take advantage of them in the future. All these notes exist at my house on the torn off leaflets, in any writing-books and on labels from a yarn which are constantly lost. And now I know that there is a useful site and all notes can be stored in one place :)

The personal page on Ravelry shares on tabs: projects (current projects - what you knit, what yarn use, what scheme, how many it is already executed and so forth, + the finished projects), something of warehouse type (it is possible to note available yarns and needles-hooks at your home), plans (what you are going to knit in the future, what date to whom, from what yarn and so forth), library (your personal schemes and books) and much more. Besides it it is possible to talk with other peoples in forums, to be connected to various groups, to exchange experience. stitch markers and holder, 2

It's update for my yesterday posting. I added a pin to stitch marker holder. So the Heart Marker Holder can be used as a shawl pin or a brooch.

Simple and cute :)

Fot continuation of my project I need Stitch Markers. I never made them before, so I think that the stitch markers should be small, appreciable, bright and light. I used silver plated copper wire and small (4 mm) acrylic beads in red and green. Here are 10 stitch markers I made. Then I needed something to hold them together, on a case when I do not use them. This gently curving heart keep my stitch markers together and safe:

The stitch markers are easy for removing and putting on back on the Heart Marker Holder:

turquoise and freshwater pearl beadwoven set

This beadwoven set is great for a summertime. Cute freshwater pearls and rondelles look very fresh with turquoise seed beads.

Haapsalu shawl, part 3

This ugly knitted piece is a center piece of Haapsalu shawl. If I wash and trim this knit, it will change. The lace will get a beautiful look. I think that half of work is done. Now I'm kniting a lace edge to this center piece.

This project I was started in September, 2009 with other Estonian artists in Estonian Handmade Forum. So I'm kniting very-very slowly. Some peoples got 2..14 Haapsalu shawls at this time, I was kniting my one :)

red and white

I have bought the freshwater pearls, they looking very beauriful. I used them as center piece in these earrings. Rounded with Japanese seed beads and fringed with Swarovski crystals in siam red color. These earrings are available in my Lariata's store + Free Shipping worldwide.

garnet earrings

Finished a custom work. These earrings with garnet beads are made as set to this garnet bracelet. A pattern of earrings a saw in B&B 8-2008 issue, but there were needed six different kinds of seed beads. I used only four + garnet beads.

It was an old garnet necklace (I have forgotten to make a photo. Thought it would be interest for looking "before" and "after" photos). The customer has wished to make a wide bracelet with a toggle clasp. The garnet beads are different size, so I added a little seed beads and made it in right-angle weave.

bookmarks

That was the bookmark for Valentine's day. A huge glass heart and the beaded bead in red and golden colors.

The spring and Mother's day are coming soon. I made some bookmarks more and sold them in the same day as they were done.

Yesterday was very cold and blizzard. Some hungry animals have come to our garden. There under snow they have found last year's apples and ate them. Also they ate branches of apple-trees and cherries. That wasn't good, but roe deers were so hungry..

crocheted headbands

The spring is in the air. Wanted a shining sun and summer colours. I crocheted a pair of headbands. One of them is embellished with butterfly

 and other has two white flowers:

Used 100% cotton yarn, lacy headband is 36 cm in length and 3 cm wide, crocheted ties are ca 27 cm long.

baltic amber bracelet

Natural Baltic Amber is very sunny stone, it's warm and has lovely caramel color. I sewed amber chips to base woven in herringbone stitch using Toho seed beads 8/o. There are added a little bit of czech firepolished glass beads for more sparkling effect. The toggle and loop are woven using Toho 11/o and 15/o.

This gorgeous bracelet was done at last year. I love this pattern and used it again, but in other color combination: pearl white and emerald green.

This bracelet made of seed beads in amber and bronze colors. There are added a little of czech firepolished glass beads, so the bracelet has a graceful curl and it looks elegant around a wrist.

Secret Santa, 2

It was happened at last year, in 2009 December. I am a proud member of THE EUROPEAN STREET TEAM on Etsy and we had playing a funny game "Secret Santa". The idea behind the Secret Santa is that you make something for a teammember and also receive a gift yourself.

It was a difficult test to make a Christmas gift to the person with whom you are not familiar. Nicole have a great shop on Etsy with handmade soaps - UltimateOrganicSoap. In Nicole's questionnaire I got know that she very much likes to read. So I have decided to present bookmarks to her. I was very much worried, whether my gift will be pleasant to her.
